St. Louis, Missouri – Two more tornadoes have been confirmed in Missouri from Sunday night’s storms, adding to the state’s severe weather tally. The National Weather Service has verified twisters in both Jefferson and Reynolds counties on May 19, including one that left no visible damage but was confirmed by radar.

According to the NWS office in St. Louis, the Jefferson County tornado touched down between De Soto and Festus around 8:02 p.m. and lasted until 8:03 p.m. The twister is rated EF-Unknown due to a lack of detectable damage, yet it was confirmed through radar signatures and visual reports. The storm traveled 2.39 miles.

In Reynolds County, another tornado rated EF-0 with peak winds of 80 mph was tracked north of Bunker, between Marcoot and Greeley. That tornado touched down at 10:40 p.m. and lasted just over a minute, carving a 1.58-mile path.

While no injuries or damage reports have surfaced, residents in affected areas are urged to review emergency plans. Even low-rated or radar-confirmed tornadoes can pose sudden dangers, especially at night.

The National Weather Service continues surveying damage across southern Missouri and warns that additional storm confirmations may follow.
