BOURBONNAIS, IL — A 37-year-old man from St. Louis, Missouri, found himself in custody after being arrested in Bourbonnais for allegedly possessing a stolen trailer. The incident occurred just a day after the trailer was reported stolen from Bradley.

On Tuesday, the Bradley Police Department received a report of a stolen trailer from the 100 block of North La Salle Avenue. A mere 24 hours later, alert citizens in Bourbonnais spotted the missing trailer in a parking lot. The authorities were promptly informed about the discovery.

When confronted, the suspect, later identified as Ivan P Havermale, denied any knowledge of the trailer being stolen. An on-site witness managed to disconnect the trailer from Havermale’s vehicle as he attempted to flee the scene. However, Havermale’s escape was short-lived, as he was apprehended shortly afterward.

Havermale now faces charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and is being held at the Jerome Combs Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
