Hillsdale, IL – A single-car crash in Hillsdale has claimed the life of a man reported missing from Henry County. Deputies from the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident on Saturday around 10:30 a.m. The accident occurred near the 30900 block of 38th Avenue North.
According to the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office, the car was traveling westbound when it crossed into the opposite lane. The vehicle then left the roadway, struck a ditch, and collided with a tree, leading to the fatal outcome. The driver, identified as Anthony Carr, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Carr had been reported missing earlier by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson confirmed his identity. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing, with no additional details available at this time.
