Milwaukee, WI – Milwaukee and much of southern Wisconsin are bracing for a dangerous heatwave and possible severe storms this week. Monday’s heat indices are forecasted to reach between 100°F and 108°F, with actual temperatures in the 90s.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Milwaukee/Sullivan, these conditions are expected to persist into Tuesday, with heat indices likely between 100°F and 110°F. An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect for Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday also brings the potential for severe thunderstorms, with threats of gusty winds and large hail. While the risk remains conditional due to uncertain storm development, warm air aloft could limit storm formation. If storms do develop, they are expected early Tuesday morning or late afternoon into the evening.
