Marquette, MI – The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is gearing up for a dynamic weather pattern this week, starting with patchy fog this morning. After the fog clears, residents can expect a quiet morning. However, the tranquility will be short-lived as the chance of thunderstorms increases by mid-afternoon due to the interaction of lake breezes with a disturbance aloft.

Wednesday will see a slight chance of thunderstorms, particularly in the interior west and central regions of the Upper Peninsula. The hottest temperatures of the week are also expected, with highs reaching 81 to 91 degrees. By Wednesday night, there will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly along the state line, with lows between 61 to 68 degrees.
The extended forecast shows a mix of partly cloudy skies and sunshine for the rest of the week. Thursday is expected to be warmer, with highs around 83 degrees.
