JANESVILLE, Wis. – A Beloit man convicted of sexually abusing three children has been sentenced to decades in prison, with officials saying he is not expected to be eligible for release until he is more than 93 years old.

According to the Rock County District Attorney’s Office, Cason Lee, 46, of Beloit, was sentenced Friday, July 31, by Rock County Circuit Judge Derrick Grubb to 78 years in the Wisconsin prison system, consisting of 48 years of initial confinement followed by 30 years of extended supervision.

Prosecutors said Lee was arrested in May 2025 after a Rock County Sheriff’s Office investigation into allegations involving three child victims. In March 2026, a Rock County jury found Lee guilty on seven felony child sex crime counts after a multi-day trial.

During Friday’s sentencing hearing, all three victims submitted impact statements. Two addressed the court in person, while a third statement was read aloud by Assistant District Attorney Verity Altenberger.

Judge Grubb said the sentence reflected the seriousness of the offenses and the harm caused to the victims. According to the District Attorney’s Office, the judge described Lee as “a predator,” “a manipulator,” and “a groomer” before imposing consecutive sentences for each victim.

District Attorney Jason Sanders said the victims “finally got” the justice and closure they had waited years to receive, praising prosecutors and victim advocates for their work throughout the case.

Officials said Lee will remain under extended supervision if released and must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.

The Rock County District Attorney’s Office noted that the sentence means Lee would not become eligible for release until after the age of 93.
