Northern Michigan – Residents in northern Michigan should prepare for a wet and foggy weekend as showers and patchy fog persist, leading into colder conditions and potential snow by Sunday.

The National Weather Service reports that today’s forecast includes patchy fog, which may reduce visibility for drivers, and a 60% chance of rain showers. Temperatures will peak at 41 degrees, with light winds from the south. Overnight lows will drop to 35 degrees, with fog lingering into Saturday morning.

Saturday will bring warmer temperatures, reaching 45 degrees, but rain will continue with winds gusting up to 25 mph. Travelers should remain cautious, especially during peak travel hours, as wet roads and reduced visibility could cause delays.

By Sunday night, temperatures will dip to near freezing, creating the possibility of rain transitioning into snow. Snow showers are likely Monday night through Thursday, with daytime highs dropping into the 20s and lows near 21 degrees.

Residents are advised to plan ahead, stay updated on weather alerts, and use extra caution when traveling.
