Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan residents can expect lingering snow showers and flurries, with light accumulations along parts of the Michigan shoreline.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Gaylord, areas including Leelanau, Benzie, and Manistee counties may see snowfall ranging from 1 to 3 inches, with locally higher amounts possible. Accumulating ice effects are also expected along the shoreline, creating potentially hazardous travel conditions.

Tonight’s temperatures will drop between 5°F and 17°F, followed by a gradual warming trend. By Sunday, highs are expected to climb above freezing across most of the region.

The NWS advises travelers to use caution, particularly in areas experiencing accumulating ice. Light flurries may persist into Thursday morning, with partly cloudy conditions Friday and increasing chances of snow showers through the weekend.
