Massive Arsenal Stolen from Illinois Storage Unit

Springfield, IL – A massive arsenal, including 35 firearms and 10,000 rounds of ammunition, was stolen from a Springfield storage unit on July 27. The burglary took place at Mansa Mini Storage, located at 2171 South 9th Street, where weapons such as AK-47s, handguns, and shotguns were taken.

On July 29, detectives returned to the scene to continue their investigation and encountered a man who fled upon seeing them. The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s with shaggy brown hair. In the area where the man was seen, officers discovered several boxes of the stolen ammunition, intensifying their efforts to locate him.

The Springfield Police Department is working with Crime Stoppers of Sangamon and Menard Counties to track down the suspect and recover the stolen items. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
