Livingston, LA – A fatal two-vehicle crash in Livingston Parish early Thursday morning resulted in the death of 46-year-old Jeremy Herrin from Maurepas. The incident occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of LA 444 and LA 63.

Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A responded to the scene. Their preliminary investigation revealed that Herrin, driving a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on LA 444, collided with a 2011 Nissan Frontier. The Nissan, which was traveling eastbound, failed to yield while making a left turn onto LA 63, causing Herrin to be ejected from his motorcycle upon impact.

Despite wearing a helmet, Herrin was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, who was properly restrained, did not sustain any injuries. Impairment is not suspected, but toxicology tests are pending.
