Los Angeles, CA – The Bridge Fire has now expanded to 51,580 acres, with 0% containment. Firefighters have battled the blaze using aircraft, dozers, and hand crews, focusing on the north flank of the fire. Efforts are centered on protecting structures in high-risk areas and limiting further spread.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, decreased wind speeds helped limit fire growth Thursday. Fire retardants were dropped along ridge lines, while crews attacked hotspots on the ground. On the east side, firefighters utilized Mt. Baldy Road to hold the line.

Evacuation orders have been issued for areas north of Angeles Crest Highway, including Baldy Village and parts of Camp Williams Resort. Warnings are also in place for foothill communities, including Claremont and La Verne.

Fire crews remain focused on controlling fire activity along steep terrain in the west. Officials continue to monitor the situation as weather conditions shift.
