Violent Encounter: Machete Attack in Illinois Ends with Arrest after Man found injured

MARSEILLES, IL – A man was arrested by the Police Thursday night after allegedly injuring another individual with a machete. 

According to Marseilles Police, it happened around 6 p.m. in the 500 block of North Main Street. Brad Bukowski, 50, of Marseilles allegedly used a machete to injure another person. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found a male victim who had sustained an arm wound from a machete. 

The injured individual was safely transported to OS St. Elizabeth in Ottawa by the Marseilles EMS, with the injury determined to be non-life threatening.

Bukowski was later charged with Aggravated Battery/Using Deadly Weapon. He is currently being held in the LaSalle County Jail.

No motive behind the alleged attack was announced.
