New Sports, Entertainment District Planned in Bradley

Bradley, Ill. – Trustees have approved a consulting agreement between the Village and Ginkgo Planning and Design for a consulting agreement of for a new sports and entertainment district in Bradley. 

The proposed district would extend north of I-57 to St. George Road and will include baseball fields, restaurants, shopping areas, and other entertainment destinations. The aim is to create a solid mix of retail and entertainment to meet the area’s demands. 

The plan is expected to be completed before the end of 2023 and will cost the Village of Bradley $170,000.

Ginkgo Planning and Design completed a study for the redevelopment of Northfield Square Mall in April 2021, outlining several major challenges to redevelopment, including dealing with multiple owners of the property.

The firm has completed plans for other area municipalities, including Comprehensive Plans for Dyer, Indiana, New Lenox, Manhattan, Monee, and Watseka in recent years.
