CHICAGO, IL – A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist a pedicab driver who was injured in a collision outside Wrigley Field Sunday night.
According to Police, the incident occurred when a bus, allegedly driven by Bryan Rollins, 40, of Berkeley, California, crashed into the pedicab before fleeing the scene.
Sarah, the injured pedicab driver, not only suffered physical harm but also significant damage to her pedicab, which serves as her primary source of income. In response, her sister, Anna, initiated the GoFundMe campaign titled “Help Sarah Recover After Wrigley Field Collision” to raise funds for medical expenses and pedicab repairs.
Within a remarkable 24-hour period, the campaign has already raised $2,400 of its $7,000 goal, showcasing the compassion and generosity of the community. The funds collected will aid Sarah in her recovery and provide the means to restore her damaged pedicab.
Rollins would later be arrested on multiple charges including driving under the influence.
Donations to the campaign will support her journey towards healing and help rebuild her livelihood.
