Lansing, IL – On Friday evening, Lansing Police responded to an armed robbery at Star Budz, located on Ridge Road. Two masked gunmen entered the business at approximately 8:15 p.m., attempting to restrain an employee. During the ensuing struggle, the employee was shot once in the back, resulting in a non-life-threatening injury. The suspects proceeded to steal merchandise from the backroom.
According to Lansing Police, both suspects were described as Black males, wearing hooded sweatshirts. One wore gray, while the other was dressed in black. After collecting the goods, the offenders fled through the backdoor. The injured employee was able to escape to safety.
Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information or surveillance footage is urged to contact Lansing Police at (708) 895-7150. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
