Lane County, OR Man Arrested on Multiple Historical Sex Abuse Charges

Creswell, OR – A 61-year-old Creswell man has been arrested following a Lane County Sheriff’s Office investigation into allegations of historical sexual abuse.

According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and detectives responded on Wednesday, July 9, at about 2 p.m. to the 100 block of Almond Way in Creswell as part of an investigation into historical sexual abuse.

Investigators identified the suspect as Jeffrey Scott Harris, 61, of Creswell. Detectives arrested Harris and lodged him at the Lane County Jail.

According to the sheriff’s office, Harris has been charged with:

  • 10 counts of First-Degree Unlawful Sexual Penetration
  • 7 counts of First-Degree Sex Abuse

Authorities have not released additional information about the alleged victim or victims, citing the active nature of the investigation.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office said the case remains under investigation and that no further information is available at this time.

The charges are allegations, and Harris is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
