Buffalo Grove, IL – A Buffalo Grove man was arrested after an undercover investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Group (SIG) uncovered a large cache of drugs, including MDMA and cannabis. The joint investigation, conducted by SIG and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), led to the arrest of Zans Batjuks, 33, at his home on Castlewood Lane.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation culminated in a search warrant executed on September 11, 2024. Law enforcement seized over 315 grams of MDMA, 15 ecstasy pills, cocaine, and more than 5,200 grams of cannabis from Batjuks’ residence.
Batjuks faces multiple felony charges, including two counts of manufacturing ecstasy and manufacturing/delivery of cannabis. He remains in custody at the Lake County Jail, pending a court appearance.
All charges against Batjuks are pending trial.
