Leesburg, FL โ€“ A major narcotics investigation in Lake County led to the seizure of multiple illegal drugs, firearms, and the arrest of two individuals Thursday afternoon at a location authorities say was a known distribution hub.

According to the Lake County Sheriffโ€™s Office, the Special Investigations Bureau executed a search warrant on Thursday at a car wash property along South U.S. Highway 27/441 near Weeks Road, just outside Leesburg in Lake County, part of the Orlando metro area. Investigators identified the site as a โ€œfake businessโ€ allegedly used for narcotics activity and distribution.

Deputies said the scene was secured around 1 p.m. by the SWAT team before detectives conducted a detailed search. Authorities reported finding approximately 2 ounces of cocaine, 1.5 ounces of crack cocaine, 14 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of fentanyl, about 30 suspected MDMA/ecstasy pills, and one pound of cannabis. Two firearms were also recovered, including one reported stolen from Leesburg in October 2025.

According to investigators, Dara Ostane was charged with armed trafficking in cocaine and multiple drug and firearm offenses. Authorities said he was recently released from prison after serving time in connection to a 1999 homicide in Lake County. Due to the volume of narcotics and his criminal history, he was denied bond.

A second suspect, identified as Steve Roberts, faces several drug trafficking and firearm charges and was also held without bond.

Multiple agencies, including police departments from Clermont, Eustis, Groveland, and Leesburg, assisted in the investigation.

Officials say the case remains active as detectives continue reviewing evidence.
