A dense fog advisory is in effect for portions of north-central and northeast Missouri until 6 a.m. Friday, reducing visibility and creating hazardous driving conditions.
According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill, visibility has dropped to less than one mile in areas including Kirksville, Moberly, Brookfield, and Boonville. The advisory covers multiple counties, including Adair, Macon, Linn, and Randolph.
Drivers are urged to slow down, use headlights, and maintain extra distance from other vehicles. Sudden visibility changes could make travel especially dangerous during the early morning hours.
