Paducah, KY – Residents across western Kentucky can look forward to a pleasant and cooler-than-usual weekend, as temperatures are expected to remain 5-10 degrees below normal for mid-August. Highs will range from the upper 70s to mid-80s, with lows dipping into the low 60s across the region. The dry weather pattern will persist through the weekend, offering ideal conditions for outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, sunny skies will dominate the forecast, with no significant rain expected until early next week. Friday and Saturday will see highs in the low 80s, with overnight lows comfortably in the upper 50s to low 60s. Sunday will bring similar conditions, with temperatures expected to peak at around 84 degrees.

Rain chances will increase slightly by Monday, as a weather system moves into the area, bringing a 15-20% chance of showers. The highest chance of rain is expected on Wednesday, with a 45% likelihood of showers and potential thunderstorms. Despite this, temperatures will stay relatively mild, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Looking further ahead, temperatures are forecasted to rise slightly by the end of the week, with highs returning to the mid-to-upper 80s by Thursday and Friday. Overall, the weekend and early week will offer a break from the typical summer heat, providing a comfortable stretch of weather for Kentucky residents.
