As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, the water level stood at 25.3 feet. Floodwaters are projected to peak nearly three feet above flood stage before receding below dangerous levels by early Sunday.
Residents in Bates County, Missouri, and Linn County, Kansas, should prepare for possible road closures and avoid travel on Stateline Road north of the river gauge, which is likely to flood if levels surpass 29.0 feet.
