The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a High Wind Watch from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning, warning of gusts reaching 60 mph.

According to the NWS, rain is expected early Tuesday evening, clearing overnight. Winds will increase throughout the afternoon, shifting from the south to the northwest, with sustained speeds between 30-40 mph. Residents should prepare for possible downed trees, power outages, and hazardous travel conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles on highways such as I-135 and Highway 56.

Tuesday: Rain likely before midnight. Winds shifting northwest at 26-33 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph. High of 62°F, low of 32°F.

Wednesday: Sunny but breezy, with a high of 47°F. Gusts up to 55 mph possible in the morning.

Thursday: Partly sunny and calmer, with a high of 52°F.

Friday: Mostly sunny and warming up, with a high near 61°F.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers, but overall mild, with a high of 54°F.
