Wichita, KS – A deep freeze is settling over central and south-central Kansas, where an Extreme Cold Warning will take effect from midnight Monday through noon Thursday, according to the NWS in Wichita.
Wind chills could fall as low as -30°F, impacting Salina, Hutchinson, Newton, and McPherson. The cold could cause frostbite within 30 minutes and pose risks to pipes and heating systems.
