Kansas City, Mo. – Mild weather settles into Missouri this weekend, with just a few light showers possible Saturday morning before skies clear and conditions dry out. Highs will reach the 80s for one final day before dropping into the 70s through much of next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Kansas City, isolated sprinkles are most likely west and southwest of the metro early Saturday, but dry weather should dominate by afternoon. Cooler air will then filter in, keeping temperatures across the state in the mid to upper 70s through Wednesday.
Rain chances return late Monday into Tuesday, especially along the Missouri-Kansas state line and over central Kansas. Those showers could spread east into central Missouri by midweek. Cities including St. Joseph, Sedalia, and Kirksville are expected to feel the shift with daytime highs in the low to mid-70s after Sunday.
Drivers should be mindful of slick spots if early showers develop, though widespread travel impacts remain unlikely. Residents may want to take advantage of the cooler stretch for outdoor plans, with no major storms currently expected.
The weather service says additional advisories may be issued if next week’s showers intensify.
