Kankakee Man Arrested After Hiding in Riverbank Bushes Following Scooter Chase

Kankakee, IL – A man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly leading Kankakee police on a chase that ended with him hiding in bushes along the Kankakee River. The incident began around the 600 block of W. Station St., when officers noticed a man on an electric scooter. Police say they recognized him as 48-year-old Sean Jordan, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

When officers attempted to stop Jordan, he reportedly abandoned the scooter and fled on foot. The chase led officers toward the Kankakee River, where Jordan allegedly tried to evade capture by hiding in dense bushes along the riverbank. Officers were able to locate him and take him into custody without further incident.

According to police reports, a search of Jordan turned up a suspected quantity of methamphetamines. Jordan now faces multiple charges

as part of the investigation.
