Kankakee, IL – The Kankakee Farmers Market is back for the 2026 season, bringing fresh produce, handmade items, baked goods, and local vendors to downtown Kankakee every Saturday through the end of October.

According to the City of Kankakee, the weekly market runs from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday from May 2 through October 31 at 200 South Schuyler Avenue in downtown Kankakee.

Residents and visitors can expect a variety of locally grown fruits and vegetables, artisan products, homemade treats, flowers, and specialty items throughout the season. Organizers say the market is designed to support local farmers, small businesses, and community vendors while providing a family-friendly gathering space downtown.

The farmers market has become a popular seasonal attraction across Kankakee County, drawing shoppers from surrounding communities each weekend during the spring, summer, and fall months.

City officials encourage attendees to arrive early for the best selection of produce and vendor offerings, especially during peak harvest months later this summer.

The event is held rain or shine unless severe weather conditions force temporary closures or schedule adjustments.

Additional event details and vendor information are available through the City of Kankakee’s official social media pages and community event calendar.
