Kankakee County, IL – A farm worker was seriously injured Friday afternoon when a haywagon rolled over, pinning the individual under heavy equipment.
According to reports, first responders arrived quickly and requested a Lifeflight helicopter. Emergency workers worked to free the worker, applying a tourniquet to control bleeding. The extrication took over an hour, but the helicopter was later canceled, and the worker was transported by ground to Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
The condition of the worker remains unknown, and an investigation into the cause of the rollover is underway. Authorities have not released further details at this time.
