Bourbonnais, IL – Fitness Premier in Bourbonnais is hosting a “Lift Up Shelter Pets” fundraiser on Saturday, August 24. The event will feature a strongman competition to benefit the Kankakee County Humane Foundation (KCHF), supporting local shelter pets. Participants can join the competition for a $50 registration fee, which includes a t-shirt.
The event, held at 350 Main St NW, will begin with registration at 9 a.m. and the competition starting at 9:30 a.m. The timed strength and cardio circuit will include a 40-yard sled drag, sled push, and farmer carry for men and women. Participants can complete the challenges with or without weights.
According to Fitness Premier, all proceeds will go directly to KCHF to care for shelter dogs and cats. Sponsors and adoptable dogs will be on site, making it a community-driven event.
Individuals not competing can still contribute by purchasing t-shirts online. Fitness Premier Bourbonnais encourages everyone to attend and support the cause.
