Jasper County REMC to Host Power Line Safety Sessions in Rensselaer

Rensselaer, IN – Jasper County REMC will host Power Line Safety Demonstrations on October 14 and 15 at the Rensselaer Volunteer Fire Department. These seminars aim to educate emergency responders, farmers, and contractors who frequently work around power lines and high-voltage areas.

Each session will last one hour, with three times available: Monday, October 14 at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m., and Tuesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. According to Jasper County REMC, the sessions will address the hazards of working near live electrical lines and provide critical safety techniques for handling emergencies.

Attendees must RSVP to Jasper County REMC by Wednesday, October 9, to secure a spot. Those interested can call 219-866-4601 or email jasperremc@jasperremc.com. Certificates of attendance will be provided, and the seminar will take place rain or shine inside the firehouse.
