Iroquois County Authorities Investigate Fatal Crash Involving St. Anne Man

Beaverville, IL – A single-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon near Beaverville left a St. Anne man dead. Robert Hubert, 68, was driving eastbound on 3200 N Road when his vehicle veered off the road, striking a tree stump in the north ditch before rolling over.

According to the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the accident scene around 1:40 p.m. along with the Beaverville and St. Anne Fire Departments. A Riverside Ambulance unit also arrived to assist. Hubert was transported via Lifestar Helicopter but was pronounced dead en route to Christ Lutheran Hospital in Oak Lawn.

The sheriff’s department stated that the crash remains under investigation, with authorities working to determine what caused Hubert to lose control of the vehicle.

This tragic incident marks another fatal accident in the area, prompting law enforcement to emphasize safe driving practices on rural roads.
