According to the National Weather Service, this cooler pattern will shift by the middle of next week. By Monday, temperatures are expected to reach the lower 80s, with lows in the mid-50s. A significant warm-up is forecasted as the region enters the third week of September, with highs in the mid-70s to low-80s.
The forecast for the 6-10 day outlook indicates above-normal temperatures and dry conditions for the Quad Cities region, as warm air from the south moves in. Precipitation chances remain low, and sunny skies will dominate throughout the upcoming workweek.
Looking ahead, normal highs for this time of year are in the mid-70s, and lows are typically in the mid-50s. However, the warm-up expected by late next week will bring temperatures closer to summer-like conditions before cooling off again in late September.
