Indianapolis, IN – A 30-year-old Indianapolis man was allegedly arrested this week after detectives uncovered multiple illegal firearms, drugs, and thousands of dollars in cash at a northwest Indianapolis residence.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), the Northwest District Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF) began surveilling Levell Biles after receiving information that he was allegedly in possession of firearms and involved in narcotics dealing. Officers observed Biles allegedly handling a handgun while allegedly facilitating the sale of illegal narcotics, prompting detectives to obtain a search warrant for his residence.
On Thursday, with the assistance of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team and the Violent Reduction Team (VRT), IMPD detectives executed the search warrant at a home in the 6900 block of Stratton Square. Biles was taken into custody during the operation.
Authorities say the search yielded $4,450 in U.S. currency, six firearms (including one reported stolen), more than 10 pounds of marijuana, nearly 85 grams of pressed methamphetamine pills, and 20 grams of powdered cocaine. According to IMPD, Biles was allegedly charged with unlawful possession of a handgun with a prior conviction, alleged intent to deal cocaine and methamphetamine, narcotics dealing, and alleged possession of marijuana over 10 pounds.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine the final charges. Police emphasized that all charges are merely accusations at this stage, and Biles is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
