Indianapolis, IN — As the weekend approaches, Indiana residents should prepare for rising temperatures. Starting Saturday, highs are expected to reach 89 degrees, marking the beginning of a warming trend that will continue into next week.

Saturday will see mostly sunny skies with scattered clouds in the afternoon. The temperature is forecasted to climb to 89°F, with humidity making it feel even hotter. By Sunday, the high will reach 84°F, with similar conditions expected.

However, the heat will intensify significantly on Monday, with temperatures soaring to 92°F. Tuesday could be the hottest day of the week, with a forecasted high of 95°F and heat index values nearing 100°F.

According to the National Weather Service, these hot and humid conditions will persist through at least midweek. Residents should take precautions, particularly during peak afternoon hours when the heat will be most intense.

A slight chance of thunderstorms is possible on Saturday night, though the likelihood is minimal at 15%. The rest of the week is expected to remain mostly dry and sunny, with highs consistently in the 90s through Thursday.
