Indianapolis, IN – The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) and the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office are asking for public help in a 2020 arson case. The fire, which occurred on November 7, 2020, at 1231 E. 91st Street, remains unsolved.

Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Investigators believe new forensic techniques and leads may help solve the case. The fire, deemed arson, caused significant damage, but no one has been charged. Despite extensive efforts, the case has grown cold.

“We hope someone has a crucial piece of information,” said Battalion Chief Vernon Garard. “Even the smallest detail could break this case wide open.”

The IFD’s investigation unit is pushing for renewed attention to the unsolved crime. Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the Indiana Arson tip line at 1-800-382-4628 or email tips1@dhs.in.gov.

The IFD remains committed to finding justice for the victims and holding those responsible accountable.
