Indianapolis, IN – A two-car crash early Friday morning caused one vehicle to slam through a vacant building at 10th Street and Belmont Avenue. Despite the severe damage, authorities confirmed no injuries occurred.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the crash happened around 1:17 a.m. and sent one car crashing entirely through the unoccupied structure. The force of the collision left debris scattered inside and outside the building, severely compromising its structural integrity.

Emergency crews, including the department’s Collapse Rescue Team, worked to evaluate the damage. Fire officials reported that the structure now poses significant safety risks. Business and Neighborhood Services were called to assess the building and secure it against further hazards.

The second vehicle involved sustained significant front-end damage and came to rest near the property. Police and firefighters remained on the scene for hours to ensure public safety and clear debris.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating the cause of the collision. Early reports did not specify if weather or speed contributed to the crash. Authorities have not announced whether charges or citations will be issued.
