Mishawaka, IN – Taste of Asia, a beloved Indiana Thai restaurant serving the community for nearly two decades, has been forced to close its doors once more after a car crashed into its building for the second time.

The incident occurred Wednesday morning when a distracted driver reportedly slammed into the front of the restaurant. The impact caused significant damage, rendering the establishment unsafe for customers and staff.

In a Facebook post, the owners of Taste of Asia expressed frustration and dismay, recalling a similar incident that took place a few years ago. The restaurant had just begun to recover when this latest accident occurred.

In an outpouring of community support, neighbors at EyeSite Optical have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help Taste of Asia cover the costs of repairs and support its employees during the closure. The campaign aims to raise $20,000, allowing the restaurant to rebuild and reopen as quickly as possible.

“We’re unsure about our situation right now, but we will keep updates when we can,” the owner posted on social media, thanking loyal customers for their continued support and expressing hope for a swift resolution.
