Lake and Porter Counties, IN – Lane restrictions will begin on I-94 in northwest Indiana starting April 14th.
I-94 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between I-65 and State Road 149 overnight from approximately 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. This work is scheduled to continue through late May. No restrictions will be in effect during the day.
The overnight closures are part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades, specifically to install permanent pavement markings and raised pavement markings. This follows pavement patching efforts completed last fall.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the lane closures will occur up to six nights a week. However, work will not take place on Friday evenings.
Motorists are urged to use caution and expect possible delays when traveling through this stretch of I-94 during the overnight hours.
