Lake County, IN – A Chicago man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident on Interstate 80/94 in Hammond.
Darrell A. Graham, 35, was apprehended in the 7000 block of Birch Ave. in Hammond without incident. Graham is being held at the Lake County Jail, facing multiple charges, including two counts of attempted murder.
According to the Indiana State Police, Graham’s arrest stems from a June 3 incident in which a juvenile was shot in the lower extremities in a road rage incident in the construction zone near Calumet Avenue. The juvenile sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Graham is charged with six offenses: two counts of attempted murder, battery resulting in serious bodily injury to a person under 14, battery by means of a deadly weapon, battery resulting in bodily injury, and two counts of criminal recklessness. The arrest was a result of an extensive investigation conducted by the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Task Force, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
