The most significant rainfall is expected Friday night into early Saturday, when widespread totals of more than 1 inch are likely. Rain is expected to gradually taper Saturday afternoon as breezy conditions develop, with highs ranging from 73 to 78 degrees. A few evening showers may linger southeast of the Interstate 55 corridor before drier weather arrives.
Sunday brings partly sunny skies with temperatures between 74 and 82 degrees, but conditions along Lake Michigan will remain hazardous for swimmers and boaters from Saturday through Sunday night because of dangerous waves and currents.
