McHenry County, IL – A 16-year-old girl from Illinois has been reported missing this week after last being seen in the city of Chicago, prompting an active search effort by local authorities.
According to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, Julissa G. Flores was last seen Monday around 12:00 p.m. in the area of 2449 W. Lawrence Avenue in Chicago. The sheriff’s office posted an alert Tuesday morning seeking public assistance in locating the teen.
Flores is described as having long brown hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive nose piercing and lip ring. She is approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs around 145 pounds. Authorities said she was last seen wearing gray joggers, a sweatshirt, and was carrying a gray backpack.
The sheriff’s office has urged anyone with information about Julissa’s whereabouts to immediately contact their office at 815-338-2144 or notify any law enforcement agency.
Officials say community involvement is crucial in helping ensure the teen’s safe return. No further details about the circumstances of her disappearance were released.
