Orland Park, IL – Illinois State Police have announced the funeral procession details for Trooper Clay M. Carns, whose End of Watch was December 23, 2024. Residents and first responders are encouraged to safely line the route to pay their respects.
The procession will begin Thursday at noon, following a 10 a.m. service at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Parkway, Orland Park. The route will proceed east on Orland Parkway/183rd Street, south on LaGrange Road, and east onto I-80. From there, the procession will travel north on I-57 and I-294, exiting at Cicero Avenue, before turning west onto 111th Street and concluding at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
According to Illinois State Police, the interment will be private. Community members are encouraged to honor Trooper Carns’ legacy by showing support along the route or attending the funeral.
Traffic delays are expected near the procession. Drivers should plan accordingly and exercise caution in the area.
