Hanover, VA – A Hanover County narcotics investigation led to the arrest of a Richmond man and the recovery of drugs, firearms, and cash, authorities announced Friday.

According to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted an operation on September 11, 2025, in the 100 block of North Washington Highway. Investigators allegedly found a Glock .45 handgun with an illegal conversion “switch” making the firearm fully automatic. Authorities also seized over one ounce of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, and firearm conversion devices.

Investigators later executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of Colorado Avenue in Richmond with the assistance of the Virginia State Police. Officers allegedly recovered another ounce of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, approximately $2,000 in cash, and additional firearms.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Zamauri Neshaun Mines of Richmond, was transported to Pamunkey Regional Jail, where he is being held without bond. A juvenile suspect was also taken into custody and later transported to the Merrimac Juvenile Detention Center following a detention hearing, officials said.

The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office thanked both the Virginia State Police and the Richmond City Police Department for their assistance.
