Hammond, IN – A 41-year-old Hammond woman died following a vehicle accident on I-80 Eastbound, near mile marker 2.2, in Hammond. Emergency responders transported Andrea Price to Munster Community Hospital, where she was positively identified by her family.
According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, Price died from blunt force trauma sustained during the accident. Her time of death was confirmed at 2:04 p.m. on Monday by an ICU physician. On Tuesday, an autopsy was conducted at the Lake County Forensic Center in Crown Point, IN.
The Indiana State Police and Hammond Fire Department are investigating the incident. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash have not yet been disclosed by authorities.
