Green Bay, Wisconsin – A round of light snow is expected to move into the region this evening, potentially creating slick travel conditions overnight, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow is forecast to spread into north-central Wisconsin around 6 p.m. Monday and continue eastward across the Green Bay area through the night. Accumulations are expected to be minor, with most locations seeing one-half inch of snow or less.
Forecasters place the highest chance for snowfall north of Green Bay, though light snow is expected across much of northeast Wisconsin. Some lake-enhanced snow showers may linger into early Tuesday morning, particularly closer to Lake Michigan.
While snowfall totals are expected to remain low, southwest winds gusting between 20 and 25 mph Tuesday could lead to blowing or drifting snow in open areas, especially where snow falls overnight. Brief reductions in visibility are possible in any heavier snow shower.
Road conditions may become snow-covered and slippery, particularly on secondary or untreated roads, during the overnight and early morning commute. Motorists are urged to use caution, reduce speeds, and allow extra travel time.
Temperatures will remain cold enough for snow to stick in spots, even with limited accumulation. Residents should continue to monitor local forecasts for updates in case snowfall coverage or timing changes.
