Gilman Man Arrested for Meth Possession During Iroquois County Traffic Stop

Iroquois County, IL – A traffic stop Sunday led to a drug arrest by the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police. Deputies pulled over a car driven by 51-year-old Maximo Patlan Junior of Gilman for a traffic violation. While speaking with Patlan, deputies discovered he had an outstanding Iroquois County warrant for failing to appear in court.

Patlan was taken into custody on the warrant. During the arrest, deputies searched his vehicle. The search allegedly revealed a quantity of illegal drugs, including methamphetamine. Patlan now faces additional charges for drug possession.

According to the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation is ongoing. Authorities have not disclosed the exact quantity of drugs found. Patlan remains in custody awaiting further court proceedings.
