Atlanta, Georgia – A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of north and central Georgia until 11 PM EDT Saturday, May 3, 2025. Strong thunderstorms are expected to bring a heightened risk of tornadoes, hail, and wind gusts to the region.

Residents of cities like Columbus, LaGrange, and Athens should remain alert, as severe weather could lead to scattered power outages, travel disruptions, and potential damage.
