Cherokee County, GA – The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 36-year-old man who has been reported missing and whose vehicle was recently spotted in the metro Atlanta area.
According to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, Joshua Smith, 36, was last seen by a friend on July 1, 2026, at the Towne Lake QuikTrip. Investigators believe he is currently driving his vehicle and remains listed as a missing person in the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC).
Authorities said Smith’s vehicle was seen in Cobb County as recently as 7:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6, providing investigators with one of the latest known developments in the case.
Smith is described as:
- 36 years old
- White male
- 6 feet tall
- 175 pounds
- Red hair
- Brown eyes
Investigators are asking anyone who has seen Smith or knows his whereabouts to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
