According to the National Weather Service, light snow and freezing drizzle will develop tonight, leading to slick roads and reduced visibility. Lake effect snow showers will persist Monday, with highs near 19°F. Wind gusts up to 25 mph will push wind chills to dangerous levels, dropping as low as -10°F by Tuesday morning.
Monday and Tuesday will be partly cloudy and bitterly cold, with highs of 14-17°F and overnight lows near 6°F. By Wednesday night, another chance of snow arrives, with temperatures staying below freezing.
Travelers are advised to exercise caution, particularly on untreated roads like Interstate 69, as conditions are likely to worsen during peak hours. Residents should wear layers, limit outdoor exposure, and prepare vehicles for winter conditions.
Looking ahead, temperatures will slightly improve by Thursday, reaching highs in the upper 20s. Friday brings a chance of snow and rain, keeping roads slippery through the end of the week.
