Fort Wayne, IN Homicide: Police Seek Cellphone Videos After Fatal Shooting

Fort Wayne, IN – Fort Wayne homicide detectives are asking the public to come forward with cellphone video and other evidence after a fatal shooting left one woman dead early Sunday morning.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers responded at approximately 3:26 a.m. Sunday, July 5, to a shooting in the area of Greene and Oliver streets.

When officers arrived, they located multiple victims, including one deceased female at the scene. Police have not released the woman’s identity or information about the conditions of the other victims.

The Fort Wayne Homicide Unit was called to investigate and continues to pursue leads in the case.

Detectives said investigators observed numerous people using their cellphones during the incident and believe some may have recorded the shooting from multiple angles. Authorities are urging anyone with video or other information to share it with investigators, saying the footage could be critical to identifying those responsible.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
