Ford F150 Hits Pedestrian, Damages Bus Shelter in Fatal Winnipeg Crash

Winnipeg, MB – A fatal collision involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 7:39 a.m. on September 13 at the intersection of Portage Avenue and Bedson Street. A Ford F150 struck a pedestrian and damaged a bus shelter, according to police.

Emergency responders from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service arrived at the scene, where they confirmed that the pedestrian had died from their injuries. Three other individuals were transported to the hospital. All are currently listed as stable.

The initial investigation revealed that the Ford F150 was heading eastbound on Portage Avenue when the accident occurred. In addition to the pedestrian and bus shelter, a secondary vehicle, hydro pole, and gas station were also damaged.

Investigators have identified the deceased as 40-year-old Nardia Cameria Bedward from Winnipeg. According to police, notifications have been made to the victim’s family.
